I am a mortgage broker i nthe US, but I am very interested in learning about how to broker out loans in Italy. I assume this would be an international job, but again, I have no idea. If anyone knows anything about this profession overseas, please help me to figure it out, because no matter where I look, I can't seem to get answers.

There are several questions that need to be answered before you can even consider the specifics of mortgage brokering in Italy.
1) Do you speak and write fluent Italian? Even if you intend to work mainly with English-speaking buyers/sellers (which may be a very small market), the professionals you work with will speak Italian. You'll need to know the technical Italian terms for real estate transactions.
2) Can you get a work permit/visa for Italy? If that doesn't happen, you won't be able to work there anyway.
I've copied links to a couple of web sites that I believe may be of use. You will need to contact people directly, but you'll have to do that anyway to learn anything. I'd be very surprised to find a web site, in English, describing how to be a mortgage broker in Italy. Having said that, the second link is to a company that claims to be the largest mortgage broker in Italy. They work with non-residents and provide services in both Italian and English. You may be able to write them to find out what you want to know. You may even be able to work for them, while you're getting familiar with the Italian mortgage system.
The first link is to a web site that seems to deal with international real estate in general. The link is to an article that deals specifically with real estate practices in Italy. While the article doesn't address your specific question, you may be able to contact someone on this web site who can point you in the right direction.
