Whats this book called?

i borrowed of my friend and dont rememeber the name. i know ita about a gir who lives on a farm with her family and is home schooled but loves reading and stuff, and basicly she goes to the school near her. and then to be honest, quite a few people die. she falls in love with this older man who she sleeps with, but at the time that was terrible thing. the man she loves runs away and she marries another man. she works in a factory which burns down. then i she opens her own factory. at the end her husband dies and she meets the man she used to love in italy. they eat dinner and then the book ends. i know im unhelpfull. i have a terrible memory, but any help?
