Well repetition is one for sure "A day without you is like a year without rain" is repeated several times.

Is Irony one?

Well irony in the "like an ocean that's running dry". How can the biggest buddy of water not have water?

I am pretty sure exaggeration was an element of poetry, I am not sure what the correct term was, but that is seen in "Like I've been wonderin the desert for a thousand days don't know if it's a mirage" which is an exaggeration because she has not gone through that and is not sure what a mirage is like or how long it takes to appear. Or how long can one survive in a desert.
