Why do I focus better on Diet Pills?

I've never been diagnosed with ADD or ADHD.

I've also never really had a problem with focusing or concentrating.

I've been dieting for a year and have only 10 lbs left until my goal weight - however I plateaued. I figured I'd take some diet pills to get the rest off and then stop. My had some old ones from several years ago.

I've lost 10 lbs in 10 days on them and I decided to stop taking them and I noticed all day yesterday and today I haven't focused well at all. I took one tonight because I felt overly ungry and didn't want to splurge and I'm able to concentrate perfectly.

Could I possibly have ADD or ADHD or is it just a side effect of not taking the pill?

I doubt that you have ASHD, the pills probably contained a lot of caffeine (or its equivalent). Also if you have been eating too little you would feel hungry as well as anxious.



Symptoms of caffeine withdrawal include lethargy, irritability, anxiety.
