Receiving texts from Europe...problems?

How come I can send texts to friends in England, Greece, and Italy..

but I can't receive them.



All 6 of the people I was texting in those countries then went to their phone companies, with different services, and all the companies told them that their phone is set up to receive and send texts, and that it was a problem with my company.



So I called Sprint, and they say my phone is fine, and that it is a problem on their end.

But I tend to believe that it is a problem with my phone since it is 3 independent countries with 6 different friends sending texts to me, and their companies all agree it is a problem with my service.



When I call Sprint, I always get some foreigner answering the phone that can barely speak English, so maybe they are not understanding my question. There are no sprint stores anywhere near my home to take my phone to, so I don't know what to do here.



What could the problem be?

I honestly don't know, but I have the same problem, except I live in Europe and cannot text to America, although I can text to anywhere else like in Asia and the rest of Europe. Are you sure you are adding the area code to the beginning? For instance, UK is +44, e.g. +447123456789

I don't know about other countries area codes but you can google it.
