I'm looking to loose a lot of weight. I know I am overweight, and I think I'm done with being overweight. I am looking for a food plan, exercise plan, and different stuff like that. If y'all don't mind, I am going to shoot various questions at you:
1. ) What should my calorie intake be? What should I be watching on the back of packages? Fruits and Vegetables, any I should stay away from?
2. ) What should I do for exercise? I do have a weight bench at my house, but only have 100 pounds with it.
3. ) I am 16, with only a permit, so I have read stuff like the cabbage soup diet, but I have no way of getting the supplies, because I do not live anywhere near a market. Usually there is snack food, and fruits and common vegetables ( Carrots, Celery, not like stuff that normally wouldn't be around ).
4. ) My grandparents, parents, and some family members are a bit "Hefty", so I know it may be a bit harder for me.

I'm basically in the same boat as you are. I guess i'll answer your questions in the same order you asked :D
1. Not sure about the calorie intake (if you google that question you probably can find what it is based on you weight/body type. When you read food labels look for foods that have the most ingredients that you can pronounce! Stay away from high fructose corn syrup even though its almost in all foods. Try and cook your foods as much as possible. Stay away from fried foods. This may be hard at first, I love to cook so i find lots of recipes to dress up my fruits and veggies! Try a diet of fruits, vegetables, rice, chicken, nuts, etc. If you are used to sweets/snacks substitute them with smoothies, milkshakes full of real fruit, fruit salad, sherbet..etc
2. While weights are good, try walking or bike riding to start off. Take the stair instead of the elevator. Walk as much as you can, just don't over do it! If you keep it up you'll be surprised how much weight you will lose. Stay hydrated when you exercise. Drink lots of water!
3. I've done the cabbage soup diet multiple times and even though i did lose weight...you gain it back when the diet is over because you mainly loose water weight. So eating right and exercising for at least 30min a day is what does the trick :D
4. Family and friends who are not worried about their weight may have a negative effect on you, but stay focused! Tell you family that you want to do right so that you can live better and healthier. Again stay focused, don't get discouraged. Loosing a lot of weight doesn't happen right away, but stick to it and it will happen..and were young so all we have to do is...do it!
