Which Big 10 school has the best academic background?

Hi, Im starting to look into schools for the future, and my parents are pushing the Big tens. I was wondering if anyone could tell me why my parents would possibly push these schools over others, as well as including a ranking of them in order of best to worst, overall. I live in milan, italy and I will be moving back to the states for university. I am a US citizen and I have family in Illinois and Ohio. I also have lived in Michigan before. All the help you can give me would be much appreciated. :) thanks

All the Big Ten schools qualify as academic heavyweights. There is no best, much less worse. They're all really good.
