Good sandy beach between la spezia in italy and monaco in france?

Im hearing there are none, surely this huge coast has some sandy bits on it? please help, thanks in advance.



if not, what about the other side, i will be visiting Venice in the car and can travel around that coast a little before heading West

There are more sandy beaches here on the east coast side of the mainland, but you can find one at Viareggio http://www.welcometuscany.it/tuscany/tus… http://www.dreamstime.com/viareggios-san… http://travel.webshots.com/photo/1258812… or San Remo http://www.visitsanremo.com.au/foreshore… http://www.travelvictoria.com.au/sanremo… to name two on the western side of mainland Italy.



Along the east coast, there's the Lido in Venice, Lido Estensi and several others running south from there. Rimini and Gabbice Mare are particularly nice.
