Well. I am eating healthier and maintaining my weight lose. Only, I want to lose more weight and boost my metabolism so i can burn calories. In eating a healthier diet and more calories I feel tired and sluggish even though I'm exercising at least 3xx a week and I do one day a week of Zumba ! Help!!
Answer on I recenlty am eating healthier and my metabolsim should be better? I feel tired and slugghish most of the time?
Hey Margaret,
You could be tired in case you dont eat enough of whole grain cereals: brown rice, barley, buckweat, polenta, oats etc.
It could also be lack of magnesium or iron.
Iron can be found in all types of green vegetable: spinach, rucola, salads, broccoli. You dont need to eat meat to get iron (meat can be replaced by tempeh and tofu).
Magnesium is found in cocoa - if you want to avoid chocolate (I can imagine you would when on diet), make yourself a hot or cold drink made of oat milk/rice milk + cocoa powder + agave sirup - it is absolutely delicious and healthy, there is no grain of sugar and still its taste is so sweet.
Partly your fatigue can be from the change - you have probably changed you diet and are more active - keep doing it, it will settle and you will feel great!
Good luck.
Lisa
